Ushers ~ The usher serves as a “first representative” of Jesus Christ for our worship service. We strive to accommodate and serve every person that enters our FLFM sanctuary with a one-on-one experience in as loving, pleasant and efficient a manner as possible. We believe this encourages people to transition from just sitting in the pew to becoming disciples of Christ. Our goal is to continue to provide committed and dedicated service for the glory of God so members and visitors will enjoy a safe and pleasant worship experience.
Social Care (Food Distribution) ~ Our Ministry of Social Care serves in response to Jesus’ command in Matthew 25:3-45. We accommodate and serve every person that visits the Food Distribution in humility and love, discerning and accommodating those who have physical, spiritual and emotional needs with food and prayers. In addition, the Ministry extends its services to home visits on special circumstances and requests. It is our hope that as we serve the people and meet their physical hunger with a gracious and loving attitude, their spiritual appetite will be opened as well, thus leading them to Christ.
The Social Care Ministry served 20 persons in its initial opening and has continued to grow, we currently serve as many as 600 people on each distribution day. Our ministry is proud to report we have not missed a scheduled day of service since operations began 16 years ago! We thank God for dedicated church members and volunteers from the community. We salute Associate Pastor Irvin Christopher of Bethany Baptist, for his faithfulness and dedication to the Food Ministry. His contribution helps make the ministry a success.
Our goal is to have a self-contained pantry to meet any emergency need of church members and the community alike, thus leading them to Christ.
